The first Plan for this project is the Strategic Vision Framework, which was developed in partnership with the community over the course of 2021-2023 to define the purpose of the Stewart Mountain Community Forest, and to help guide future decisions for the forest. The framework describes what a community forest is, and the kind of forestry which is envisioned. It explains our process, and articulates our mission, vision, and values. It also includes examples of ownership and governance models and a process for how to move forward, turning this dream into a reality.
This Strategic Vision Framework is designed to provide a foundation for those future conversations and support the imagination and engagement of the community in realizing the benefits the Stewart Mountain Community Forest can provide for current and future generations.
